VERY VERY RARE! Case: Triple signed 43mm (including winding crown) SS case with rotating bezel. SS screw back case. Case back is signed ROLEX COMEX No. 60. There is a gas escapement valve specially made for this model of Submariner which is not on any other non-Comex Rolexes. Case Condition: Near Mint (95%) condition case polished by Rolex factory with the sloping edges of the lugs still visible. Serial number 4155840 which dates it back to 1974. Serial number is also marked on the inside of the back case which is again unique only to Comex Rolexes. Model is a #5514 which was ONLY made for the COMEX Company and no one else. A check with Rolex found that there were only 156 pieces of these ever made (this one is No. 60)! Many would have been lost so this is a truly RARE piece! Back case is stamped ROLEX COMEX No. 60. Dial Condition: 100% Original matt black dial in an evenly aged condition. Round markers have browned with the years and there looks to be watermarks on the dial around the center of the dial. At the same time, there are a couple of flaking at the edges of the dial but nothing major. White streaks that you see on the crystal is the result of reflections from the scanner. Bezel Condition: Mint (100%) condition bezel & insert replaced by Rolex factory. Again, white streaks that you see on the insert is the result of reflections from the scanner. Bracelet/Strap: 100% ORIGINAL Rolex heavy double Flip-lock Oyster bracelet in Near Mint (95%) condition and is still tight! Movement: Automatic Caliber 1530 movement in perfect working condition as it was just serviced by Rolex Center Singapore. Remarks: SUPER RARE Rolex Submariner "COMEX" awaiting the right owner.
